Speech and Language Therapist

The school is recruiting a Speech and Language Therapist for a permanent or temp to perm role in Sevenoaks. This position involves working in a special school setting with young people with complex needs and disabilities. The role offers a standard schedule of 08:30 to 15:30, though the school will consider candidates seeking a shorter working week.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist speech and language therapy to students aged 4 to 19 years.
• Support young people with complex needs and disabilities in an educational setting.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and the wider multidisciplinary team to improve communication outcomes.
• Assess student requirements and implement individualised therapy plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with professional standards.
• Engage with parents and carers regarding student progress and support strategies.

What you'll need

• HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Experience working with children and young people with complex needs.
• Enhanced Child and Adult DBS certificate (statutory requirement).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
