Locum Band 6 Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist for a locum position based a hospital in North West London. This role specialises in stroke and neurology, providing high quality clinical care within the hospital and the Stroke ESD team. The successful candidate will join a dedicated therapy department to support patient rehabilitation and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist occupational therapy assessments for patients within the stroke and neurology service
• Develop and implement individualised treatment programmes to facilitate patient recovery
• Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team and the Stroke ESD service
• Analyse patient progress and adjust rehabilitation plans as required to meet clinical goals
• Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with professional and trust standards
• Support the Clinical Therapy Lead in the delivery of efficient patient-centred care

What you'll need

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Significant experience working within stroke or neurology settings
• Proven experience at a Band 6 level or equivalent
• Ability to work effectively within an Early Supported Discharge service
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with patients, families and clinical staff
• Enhanced DBS check
