Consultant Psychiatrist

Consultant Psychiatrist required for a children's ADHD and Autism assessment service across the Midlands. This contract role offers flexible, ad hoc working arrangements, combining remote clinical activity with face-to-face work as required. You will join a multidisciplinary team specialising in neurodevelopmental pathways for children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Undertake specialist psychiatric assessments within ADHD and Autism pathways
• Contribute to the diagnosis of neurodevelopmental conditions in children and young people
• Review clinical histories and supporting assessment information
• Work collaboratively with clinical psychologists and other members of the multidisciplinary team
• Contribute to clinical decision-making and diagnostic formulation
• Produce clear and accurate clinical documentation and reports
• Participate in remote and face-to-face clinical activity as required

What you'll need

• Full General Medical Council (GMC) registration with a licence to practise
• Inclusion on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• Relevant specialist experience in child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS) or neurodevelopmental services
• Proven experience assessing Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism
• Expertise in clinical decision-making and diagnostic formulation for children and young people
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance
