Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist for a full-time contract role based in Surrey and the South West London area. The position is term-time only and involves supporting children and young people within mainstream school settings until the end of the academic year.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of children and young people within mainstream school settings independently.
• Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy interventions tailored to individual student needs.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to support the communication development of pupils.
• Produce high-quality clinical reports and maintain accurate documentation of student progress.
• Assess students to identify speech, language, and communication needs within the educational environment.

What you'll need

• Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Proven experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist within UK educational settings.
• Ability to manage a complex caseload and work autonomously across multiple sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional report writing.
• Must undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
