Actionus Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement

1. Introduction

Actionus publishes this Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement in accordance with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. While Actionus does not meet the statutory turnover threshold requiring publication, we voluntarily adopt the standards expected of organisations supporting UK healthcare, public‑sector bodies, and regulated environments.

Actionus is committed to acting ethically, transparently, and with integrity in all business relationships. We oppose all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, servitude, and human trafficking.

2. Organisational Structure, Business & Supply Chains

Actionus provides workforce support, service delivery functions, vacancy‑led operational assistance, and structured coordination services to healthcare organisations, clinical service providers, and public‑sector bodies. We do not operate as a recruitment agency, employment business, or labour‑supply organisation.

Our supply chain is deliberately simple and low‑risk. It consists primarily of:

• Professional service providers (legal, accounting, compliance, insurance)
• Technology and software vendors
• Office and administrative suppliers
• Occasional independent professionals engaged for specialist support functions

We do not operate healthcare facilities, do not supply clinical workers, and do not engage third‑party recruitment or talent‑acquisition agencies.

3. Due Diligence Processes

Actionus applies proportionate due‑diligence checks to suppliers and independent professionals, including:

• Identity and right‑to‑work verification (where applicable)
• Confirmation of professional accreditation or regulatory status
• Review of supplier governance, ethical standards, and compliance posture
• Contractual obligations requiring adherence to anti‑slavery principles

Where concerns arise, Actionus will not proceed with engagement until risks are fully resolved.

4. Risk Assessment & Management

Although Actionus operates in a low‑risk supply environment, we recognise that modern slavery remains a global issue affecting many sectors, including healthcare.

We monitor potential risk areas such as:

• Engagement of independent professionals
• Technology vendors with international supply chains
• Introduction of new supplier categories
• Any outsourced operational support functions

If risk indicators emerge, Actionus conducts enhanced due diligence and implements corrective action.

5. Policies Supporting Ethical Practice

Actionus maintains internal policies that reinforce our commitment to preventing modern slavery, including:

7. Reporting Concerns

Actionus encourages the reporting of any concerns relating to modern slavery or unethical labour practices. Reports can be made confidentially via:

All reports are investigated promptly and thoroughly.

8. Measuring Effectiveness

Given the low‑risk nature of Actionus’s supply chain, we currently adopt a qualitative approach to measuring effectiveness. Over the next 12 months, Actionus will:

• Expand supplier screening criteria
• Enhance internal training materials
• Review and update this statement annually
